Midnight Runner

Our 1617 OC Mercedes Benz was bodied by Custom Coaches Sydney and entered service with Perrett's Coach Service in Werris Creek NSW. Appropriately named "midnight runner" by John Perrett, a favourite with bowlers and sporting groups in the North West. When taking the Benz out, John's wife Ingrid would ask "so what time will you be home???" due to the obvious answer, the Merc was christened the midnight runner!

The Perrett family sold their school runs to Tamworth Buslines in April 2008, with both of their denning coaches sadly sold, the midnight runner was the last full size bus left in the Perrett's fleet until being purchased by Barrett's in August 2012, and after some tender loving care to bring her back to life, the Midnight Runner is now available for charter in the Hunter Valley as part of the Barrett's fleet.

Midnight Runner is a favourite for weddings, concerts, some sporting groups and other local trips.

"Midnight Runner" features:

  • Public address system with AM/FM Radio and CD stacker equipped
  • 48 High back classic style coach seats
  • Luggage capacity, prefect for sporting teams with eskies
  • UHF radio fitted for road conditions and those times where multiple vehicles are used for the larger groups
